MAHESH : Age 5

Mahesh was born into a poor slum family. At a young age his father passed away with the AIDS virus. Soon after his death his mother was infected with the HIV virus. She became very sick, and could not provide a healthy lifestyle for Mahesh. There were many times when she couldn't provide a meal for Mahesh and he would go to sleep hungry.  His mother became too sick to take care of him, so she had to send Mahesh to his grandmothers house to live. Mahesh’s grandmother lived in the same poverty stricken lifestyle, and couldn't afford to take care of him. Mahesh became very sick, because of the lack of nutrition. As her last resort she brought Mahesh into the orphanage so that he would not die.

A few months after Mahesh joined the orphanage. His mother died of the AIDS virus. Making young Mahesh an orphan.

Mahesh is now 5 years old, and the youngest among the orphan children. He is now healthy, energetic, and a very happy child. He is pampered by many of the older children in the orphanage, and enjoys the attention. He is now in Kindergarten, and is learning his alphabets & numbers.
Mahesh has been blessed with a second chance at life.

Mahesh is one of the many children who need your support and love.
